At Justice Rising, we recognize that war robs children of their future—if not physically, then psychologically and emotionally. Along with our community of Peace Partners, we’re simply not willing to see that happen.
By becoming a monthly Peace Partner, you are committing to support students and teachers in vulnerable, war-affected communities by supporting quality education and peace building initiatives to break cycles of violence, allowing children to thrive in a culture of peace.
On average, it costs $5 for a student’s school fees every month.
Due to war and poverty, a majority of students in the communities we serve cannot afford to pay this. This is where our Peace Partners come in.
By the numbers:
$25 supports 5 students to go school each month
$50 supports 10 students to go to school each month
$150/mo. helps to pay the salary of a teacher like Lusenge
$500/mo. supports the staff salary of one of our program managers (e.g. WASH, PSS & SEL, Positive Peace Program, Gender Equality, etc.)
This fall, we will support…
4,000
students
200
teachers
23
schools
