Wage Peace, One Classroom at a Time
New York Photo Exhibit

Wednesday, October 23, 2024 • 6:00 - 8:00 PM ET
P.S. Kitchen • 246 W 48th St, New York, NY 10036

In places of war, peace is not a passive act. It doesn’t just happen. Peace has to be relentlessly pursued and passionately strived for. You have to wage peace.

Join us for our NYC fall event—  Wage Peace, One Classroom at a Time and hear how Justice Rising is actively responding to what the UNHCR has called “the most complex and long-standing humanitarian crisis in Africa." Come and be inspired by a small exhibit featuring photographs and videos of our 200 teachers and 4,000 students, who continue to teach, learn and grow despite the violence and chaos that has taken many of their homes, loved ones and sense of security.

Since 2015, Justice Rising has worked tirelessly to wage peace by building and operating 23 schools in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Cameroon. The DRC is one of the poorest and most conflict-ridden countries in the world - 70% of its people live on less than $2 a day and it has one of the world’s largest populations of Internally Displaced People - domestic “refugees” who have had to flee their homes because of violent conflict. We believe education is the key to breaking this terrible cycle of war and building a culture of lasting peace.

Join us and be part of making a lasting impact…help us wage peace, one classroom at a time.

Help us change the lives of children living in conflict.

Your contribution helps break the cycle of violence and build a culture of peace.
